Data Scientist – Databricks AI Platform Buildout
Contract | 16 Weeks | July Start | Up to £650/day

SR2 is partnering with an exciting client delivering a cutting-edge AI Platform Buildout and is looking for an experienced Data Scientist with deep Databricks AI expertise to join the implementation team.

This is an opportunity to work on a large-scale AI platform programme, helping build production-ready AI capabilities using the latest Databricks AI and LLM tooling.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Designing and implementing Databricks AI platform capabilities
• Building Bronze, Silver and Gold Medallion architecture using Delta Lake
• Developing AI agents, vector databases and AI-powered workflows
• Processing and enriching structured and unstructured datasets
• Deploying production-ready AI and LLM solutions
• Building prompt management and context engineering solutions
• Developing lightweight front-end applications using AI coding assistants
• Collaborating within an experienced consulting delivery team

We’re looking for:

• 4+ years’ commercial Data Science experience
• 2+ years’ consulting experience
• Strong experience delivering AI/LLM solutions into production
• ExcellentDatabricks experience including:
  • PySpark
  • Delta Lake
  • Unity Catalog
  • MLflow
  • AI Gateway
  • AI Search
  • Databricks Apps
  • AI Functions
  • Prompt Management
  • Agentic Frameworks
• Python expertise
• GitHub version control and pull request workflow
• CI/CD experience using GitHub or Azure DevOps
• Already Databricks DPP vetted (essential)
