Cyber Security Specialist
You’ll be a subject matter expert delivering cyber security guidance across IT and OT environments, supporting strategic initiatives, risk management, and incident response. Working closely with colleagues in engineering, operations, and compliance, you’ll ensure the organisation remains secure, resilient, and aligned with best practices.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide specialist guidance on cyber security policies, frameworks, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Lead the assessment and implementation of security controls across IT and OT networks.
- Collaborate with project teams to embed security by design into new solutions and upgrades.
- Support threat modelling and vulnerability management across systems and services.
- Assist in the investigation and response to security incidents, including root cause analysis.
- Monitor compliance with regulatory frameworks including NIS, IEC 62443, NIST, CAF, and OG86.
- Develop and deliver security awareness campaigns and stakeholder training initiatives.
- Act as a trusted advisor across the business, supporting security architecture, assurance, and governance activity.
Essential Skills & Experience:
- Proven cyber security experience within critical infrastructure or regulated environments.
- Strong knowledge of security frameworks (NIST, ISO27001, IEC62443) and regulatory compliance.
- Experience working in or alongside OT/ICS environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to assess complex security challenges and recommend effective solutions.
- Proficiency with security tooling and monitoring platforms, and incident handling processes.
Desirable:
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, GICSP, or equivalent).
- Awareness of SCADA/PLC systems and the cyber risks within industrial environments.
- Experience supporting audits and regulatory inspections.
