Senior Mobile Engineer (Flutter)

Remote / Hybrid: Somerset based client – onsite working a day or two a week is preferred

Salary: £55,000 – £65,000

SR2’s client has a consumer facing platform which interacts with customers via mobile apps. You’ll take ownership of major parts of our Flutter mobile experience across two apps, working in a small, high-trust team where engineers have genuine input into what gets built and how.

This is a build-and-ship role: balancing reliability and performance improvements with fast, iterative feature delivery.

Overview:

• Build high-quality features in Flutter using clean, maintainable architecture
• Integrate with backend services (Firebase, APIs, serverless functions)
• Implement payment flows where needed
• Improve legacy areas and raise testing standards (unit/widget/integration)
• Collaborate closely with product and operations to ship usable releases quickly

Requirements:

• Strong commercial experience shipping production Flutter apps
• Solid understanding of APIs, data modelling, performance and offline considerations
• A testing mindset and pragmatic approach to quality
• Confidence owning large features and making sound technical decisions

• Firebase (especially Firestore) experience – desirable
• Payments integrations (e.g. Stripe)
• Experience working with event-driven backends
